Membership Opportunities

The Wayne Hose Company #1 offers several membership opportunities designed to match different interests, skill sets, and levels of involvement. Whether you want to respond to emergencies, support operations behind the scenes, or assist with community events and fundraising, there is a place for you within our organization. Membership options may include active firefighters, exterior support personnel, administrative members, junior members, and social or associate memberships. Each role plays an important part in helping the department serve and protect the community.

Operational Firefighter

Respond to emergencies, handle fire suppression, and participate in rescue operations.

Driver / Pump Operators

Focus specifically on driving, maintaining, and operating the department's apparatus and water pumps at the scene.

Junior Firefighters

Designed for youth between the ages of 8 and 17, offering a safe way to learn firefighting basics and develop life skills.

Support / Administrative Members

Help with the crucial day-to-day behind-the-scenes operations of the department without actively fighting

Each of these roles, plays a crucial part in the functioning and effectiveness of Monkton EMS to ensure the highest quality patient care and community service.
