With the arrival of warmer weather, outdoor training season is officially back in full swing at the Rockland County Fire Training Center. Our training props are being utilized nearly seven days a week as firefighters continue sharpening their skills and preparing for the wide range of emergencies they may face throughout the year.

This past week alone, we were proud to host departments from Stony Point, Nanuet, Valley Cottage, and Nyack for hands-on training exercises. These sessions provide valuable opportunities for firefighters from multiple agencies to train together, strengthen teamwork, and enhance operational readiness in realistic scenarios.

Ongoing training remains one of the most important parts of the fire service. From engine operations and ladder work to search and rescue techniques and live-fire evolutions, consistent training helps ensure firefighters are prepared to respond safely and effectively when the community calls for help.

We look forward to continuing a busy and productive training season and appreciate all the departments and members who continue to make training a priority.
